The Paid Undergraduate Nurse Evaluation Project is a joint, three-year initiative involving five Health Service Areas (HSAs) in two Health Authorities, and five partner schools in the Collaboration for Academic Education in Nursing (CAEN). The Evaluation Project explores feasibility and outcomes in two programs of support for senior undergraduate nursing students and nursing units. The program of support and the evaluation research are both funded by a Ministry of Health grant from Health Action Plan monies. There are two program models being evaluated in the research: Undergraduate Nurse Employment, and Paid Preceptorship (final practicum).
